Tbilisi, Georgia  -- International Security Assistance Force commander Gen.  John R. Allen addresses members of the Georgian Army’s 23rd Battalion at the National Training Center “Krtsanisi,” Jan. 30.

“I have found that your forces are well led, they are trained well, they are respected by the people and they are feared by the enemy,” said Gen. Allen. “You are going to participate in one of the great causes of modern history and many years from now, you can look back with pride that you have been a part of this … We will always be grateful for what Georgia has done in Afghanistan.”
