Gunman Kills Afghan Supreme Court Employee

KABUL, Afghanistan - Gunman killed three and wounded several more employees of the Afghan Supreme Court travelling on a mini bus in Kabul, Aug. 31.

The employees were wounded with small-arms fire and were taken to the Kabul Emergency Hospital for treatment.

"Our thoughts are with their families during this difficult time," said U.S. Army Col. Rafael Torres, International Security Assistance Force Joint Command Combined Joint Operations Center director. "Despite these continued attacks on government officials, GiRoA (Government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan) and ISAF remain committed to providing a stable and peaceful country."
