KABUL, Afghanistan (Nov. 2, 2010) — The Afghan Minister of Culture, Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen, and the Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs, Taimoor Shah Eshaqzai, hosted Afghanistan's first National Youth High Council General Assembly, or YHCA at the National Jirga Site here Saturday - Monday.

 During the assembly, the elected members of the YHCA voted on and adopted a YHCA resolution. The resolution objective is to guide members of the YHCA and sub-national youth councils in future activities.

 The YHCA is a platform for youth to voice their concerns, exchange ideas, and support peace building and governance development up to the village level, according to YHCA officials.
