ISAF CSM visits TF Bronco |

 KABUL, Afghanistan International Security Assistance Force senior enlisted advisor, Command Sgt. Maj. Thomas Capel, visited Task Force Bronco Soldiers throughout Jalalabad, Feb. 9. During his visit, Capel spoke with Soldiers about the Armys retention initiatives, drawdown from Afghanistan, Prevention of Sexual Assault, leadership and other topics. KABUL, Afghanistan — The senior enlisted advisor for International Security Assistance Force traveled to Jalalabad, Afghanistan, Feb. 9, where members of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division provided him with an overview of the transition to an Afghan-led Regional Command – East.
The briefing served as an opportunity for Army Command Sgt. Maj. Capel to see how more than 70 percent of the area has transitioned to Afghan National Security Force partners and how Soldiers in these areas are now primarily providing guidance and mentorship to their Afghan partners.
After the briefing, the 3rd BCT command sergeant major, Command Sgt. Maj. Andrew J. Spano traveled with Capel to visit Soldiers from the 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment at Observation Posts Mustang and Bari Ali, Combat Outpost Pirtle King and Forward Operating Base Bostick. During his visit, Capel spoke with Soldiers about the Army’s retention initiatives, drawdown from Afghanistan, prevention of sexual assault, leadership and other topics.
Capel also presented the Wolfhounds with his ISAF coin of excellence and thanked them all for their service and a job well done.
“I thank you for your service,” said Capel. “Americans have been living a relaxed life for the past 10 years, and it’s because of what each and every one of you do here. It is our job to protect the American people and the freedom of our country.” |
