Office of Legal Advisor gives update on BSA, NATO SOFA implementation

KABUL, Afghanistan (Dec. 19, 2014) — The U.S. – Afghanistan Security and Defense Cooperation Agreement, also known as the Bilateral Security Agreement (BSA), and the Agreement between NATO and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan on the Status of NATO Forces and NATO Personnel Conducting Mutually Agreed NATO-led Activities in Afghanistan, also known as the NATO SOFA, are scheduled to enter into force on January 1, 2015.

German troops donate Ocktoberfest profits to Kabul children's hospital

KABUL, Afghanistan (Dec. 17, 2014) — It was an unusual visit to the Irene Salami children's hospital in the middle of the Afghan capital. Led by ISAF's deputy commander, Lt. Gen. Carsten Jacobson, German soldiers deployed to Kabul presented a donation of € 5,293.56 last Thursday.
